Our Biblical Purpose
WellSpring Christian Fellowship is a church family that works
together as a team towards...
Building Relationships - We were created by
God for relationship with Him, each other, and people of our community.
Relationships begin with the vertical (God) and spread horizontally
(each other).
Jn. 13-34-35; Acts 2:42-47; Mt. 22:36-40
Equipping Believers - Every believer has a
unique call, gifting and contribution to make for the Kingdom
of God. It is our job to equip believers with understanding, and
theirs to act upon it.
Mark 10:45; Eph. 2:10, 4:11-13; 2 Tim. 2:2
Extending Refreshing - Because of the grace,
mercy and love God has poured out on us, we generously, creatively
and joyously share the same with everyone we meet. We will win
our world one person at a time.
Prov. 11:25; Is. 58:11-12; Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 3:19
. . . in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our Values
We believe every person is to express their
worship to God as part of their daily lifestyle. Our gatherings
include expressing and surrendering our worship to the Lord with
joy, gladness and thankfulness for who He is and all He has done.
Ps. 13:6; Ps. 29:2; Jn. 4:22-23; Rom. 12:1
We believe relating the life of Jesus Christ
to people in simple, contemporary and relevant ways will impact
and transform lives. It is important to remain consistent to the
principles of God's Word but have meaningful methods that meet
people where they are.
Acts 17:22-25; 1 Cor. 9:22-23
We believe pursuing a Spirit-filled life includes
seeking, knowing and obeying God with all of our heart. Looking
to the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and develop His fruit in our
lives is an intentional pusuit. Walking in the Spirit - with integrity
- is our heartcry!
Ps. 78:70-72; Mt. 6:33; Gal. 5:22-25; Col. 3:23-24
We believe that "doing church as a team"
is God's design for ministry. Every member is a minister who has
been given gifts to be discovered, developed and deployed. Christianity
is not a spectator sport. We are a gift-based and purpose-focused
church.
Ecc. 4:9-12; 1 Cor. 12:12, 14-20; Eph. 4:11-16
We believe in identifying and training leaders
who will reach their generation with the message of Christ. Children,
youth, and adults who are fully committed to Christ are coached
and mentored, in order to do the same for others.
Ex. 18:14-26; 2 Tim. 2:2; Titus 1:5-9
We believe we have a primary call to impact
children and youth. We realize that providing kids with a firm
foundation in Christ is their best chance to come to know Him
and build an enduring relationship with Him.
Ps. 145:4; Prov. 22:6; Mt. 18:2-5
We believe accepting and caring relationships
with others are practical expressions of our love for God. We
seek to encourage and edify one another in personal and small
group relationships. Humility and honesty with one another are
critical for maturity and growth.
Eph. 5:2; Phil 2:1-4; 1 Thess. 5:11; 1 Jn. 4:20
We believe the Great Commission is our call
to evangelize. Reaching out becomes a normal and natural lifestyle
of winning others to Christ, one by one. People inviting people
is our best strategy.
Mt. 28:19-20; Jn. 4:28-30; Acts 1:8
